Men's Tennis Opens A-10 Play with Duquesne Saturday

Colonials and Dukes square off at JTCC at 5:45 p.m.
WASHINGTON -Â GW men's tennis hosts its first A-10 match of the season on Saturday evening, welcoming in Duquesne to the Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC) in College Park, Md., at 5:45 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT:Â The Buff & Blue earned their first victory of the campaign in dominant fashion, sweeping Howard without dropping a single set. Ethan Jacobs continued his perfect start to the season with wins at #2 doubles (with Ryan Navarro) and at #3 singles.
ABOUT THE DUKES:Â Duquesne is 2-0 on the young year following wins over Mount St. Mary's and Carnegie Mellon last weekend. The Dukes will take on VCU on Friday afternoon before making the trip to take on the Colonials. Duquesne earned the No. 8 seed in last year's A-10 tournament, advancing to the quarterfinals before falling to VCU.
SERIES HISTORY:Â The Colonials earned a 5-2 victory last season at Duquesne in head coach Rob Castille's return to Pittsburgh, where he was the head coach from 2005-2012. GW is 12-1 all-time against their conference foe, winning the last 11 meetings.
