Barnett helps account for both GW points

STERLING, Va. - GW men's tennis saw its two-game winning streak snapped on Sunday afternoon, falling to Temple, 5-2, at the Trump National Golf Club.

The Colonials earned the doubles point behind victories at the top two positions, but ultimately dropped five of the six singles matches. Sophomore Ben Barnett paired with classmate Zicheng Zeng for a 6-2 win at #1 doubles before winning a three-set match at #4 singles for both of the Colonials' points.

Sophomores Ryan Navarro and Ethan Jacobs clinched the doubles point with a 7-5 win at #2.

GW now heads out on the road for its next nine matches, beginning with a pair of bouts next weekend in the Tidewater area of Virginia. The Colonials square off with William & Mary on Saturday at noon before visiting Old Dominion Sunday at 10 a.m.
