WASHINGTON – The George Washington baseball team returns to Tucker Field this week for four of its remaining eight home games left on the calendar. The Buff & Blue are set to host VMI on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. for the team's annual Jackie Robinson Day celebration, then will welcome Richmond to Arlington for a three-game series starting on Friday.
This weekend against the Spiders, GW will welcome DMV first responders to Barcroft Park on Saturday for the team's Hometown Heroes game. Area fire, EMS and police will be in attendance with booths set up to interact with visitors. More information on the promotion will be announced on the team's social media channels later this week.
Sunday's game will be GW's first of two Bark in the Park contests at The Tuck. All fans in attendance are encouraged to bring their four-legged friends to the game and submit photos of their dogs here for a chance to be featured on the video board throughout the game.
