Baseball Names McClure Director of Operations and Player Development

Head Coach Gregg Ritchie and the George Washington baseball team have announced the addition of Tucker McClure to the staff as Director of Operations and Player Development.

McClure lands in the nation's capital following a two-year stint with Montclair State as an assistant. During his tenure, the Red Hawks continued their run as one of Division III baseball's premier programs, amassing a 55-27-1 record over two seasons. None were more impressive than the club's 2026 campaign, when his team finished with a 31-11 record and served as a host for the regional round of the NCAA Tournament.

Prior to his time with Montclair State, McClure spent three seasons with Eastern from 2021-24. His first two were spent as a graduate assistant before elevating to the assistant coach role in his final year. Prior to that, he spent the 2021 campaign as a member of Muskingum's staff. McClure got his start in coaching with the Wallingford Cardinals Junior American Legion in 2018, leading the program to titles in 2019 and 2020. McClure spent his playing days with Castleton University, helping lead the Spartans to an NAC title in 2017.

McClure earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Castleton in 2019 and his Master of Business Administration from Eastern in 2023.
