Masai Marshall Walks Up the Field During Summer Ball

Head Coach Gregg Ritchie and the George Washington baseball team have announced the addition of Masai Marshall to the roster ahead of the 2026 season. Marshall arrives in Foggy Bottom after two seasons at Northwestern.

A 6-3 outfielder from New York City, Marshall was a standout at Poly Prep Country Day, ranking as the No. 12 outfielder in the state of New York and the No. 57 overall player from the Empire State according to Perfect Game. During his junior season in 2023, Marshall helped lead Poly Prep to a No. 1 ranking in the state amongst prep schools, finishing the season 24-2, including a perfect 12-0 in league play.

Following his prep career, Marshall enrolled at Northwestern, where he didn't see action as a first-year in 2025 and appeared in three games as a sophomore in 2026. In his abbreviated action, Marshall took two at-bats, including making his debut against 25^th-ranked USC on March 13^th.
