The George Washington baseball team suffered a 9-1 defeat to Dayton in Thursday's series opener as the Flyers used four home runs to down the Revolutionaries. GW falls to 18-33 overall and 9-19 in the Atlantic 10.

GW registered the game's first run on an RBI single to center field from Robbie Lavey, plating Jack Kent from third base.

In his final career start, Max Haug tossed six innings, allowing seven earned runs and striking out seven. Jasper Nadel and Aidan Carey worked scoreless appearances out of GW's bullpen.
