Baseball Closes Non-Conference Season With Defeat to Georgetown, 17-1

ARLINGTON, Va. - With its sights set on a huge weekend ahead against conference rival George Mason with massive postseason implications at line, GW baseball lost focus and fell to another local foe, Georgetown, 17-1 on Wednesday afternoon.
Highlights were hard to come by for the Buff and Blue, though one came off the bat of Bryan Belo who launched one out of the park in the eighth, and Eddie Micheletti Jr. also had a moment when he extended his hitting-streak to 18 games. Both Belo and Micheletti registered multiple hits in GW's six-hit attack.
Georgetown's 17 runs came on 18 hits.
The focus now turns to the Patriots, who visit for the critical three-game set. First pitch Friday at The Tuck comes at 3 p.m. on ESPN+.
