WASHINGTON - GW baseball will look to get back to its winning ways with a pair of midweek contests this week. First, the Buff & Blue will head to Delaware for a 3 p.m. first pitch on Tuesday before welcoming in Towson at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
MASHING MICHELETTI: Junior Eddie Micheletti finished the McNeese series with a flair, going 2-for-4 on Sunday with his first home run of the season and a career-high four RBI. Micheletti has notched a pair of multi-RBI games so far this season and is tied for the team lead with nine through the first nine games. He also paces the squad with a .341 average and 15 hits.
A LOOK AT DELAWARE: The Blue Hens are 4-7 on the campaign after dropping two out of three to Rider over the weekend. UD is hitting .274 as a team, but has struggled on the mound to the tune of a 9.74 team ERA. Five Blue Hens are hitting over .300 on the year, paced by Bryce Greenly at .350 with three homers and seven RBI.
The two programs have not met since 2005 with GW owning a 13-8 edge in the all-time series. UD will visit The Tuck next month.
