
Men's Tennis Hosts Richmond in Final Home Match

Colonials and Spiders set for 2:30 p.m. first serve Sunday
WASHINGTON -Â GW men's tennis wraps up its home slate with a visit from the Richmond Spiders on Sunday in the penultimate A-10 match of the season. First serve from the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center is set for 2:30 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT:Â The Colonials earned the doubles point against Dayton last Sunday at home, but ultimately fell, 4-1, to the visiting Flyers, and now stand at 4-2 in the A-10. The Buff & Blue swiped the doubles point thanks to wins at #1 from Zicheng Zeng and Ben Barnett and at #2 from Lawrence Sciglitano and Jakub Behun.

ABOUT THE SPIDERS:Â Richmond is 3-1 in the league, most recently defeating Saint Joseph's, 4-0, on March 29. The Spiders have also topped Davidson (4-3) and Dayton (4-3) while dropping their first match to VCU (7-0). UR has a busy weekend, hosting Furman on Friday and visiting Howard on Saturday before battling GW.
SERIES HISTORY:Â The two teams split a pair of matches last year with the Colonials coming out on top with a 4-3 decision in the regular season. The Spiders returned the favor with a 4-2 triumph in the A-10 Tennis Championship to end GW's season.
