Men's Tennis to Face Pair of A-10 Opponents

Buff & Blue welcome George Mason Saturday and VCU Sunday
WASHINGTON -Â The GW men's tennis team, already 2-0 in the Atlantic 10, is set to host George Mason on Saturday at 2 p.m. in College Park, Md. before facing VCU on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center.
LAST TIME OUT:Â The Colonials dropped three matches in two days last weekend, stumbling against William & Mary before falling in close affairs with Navy and Bryant. First-year Ryan Navarro won his singles match against Navy and Bryant at the No. 2 position.
ABOUT GEORGE MASON:Â The Patriots' three-match win streak was snapped last weekend in a 4-0 loss to Davidson to open their A-10 slate. Mason is 5-8 overall, having faced common opponents in Navy (L 4-0), Monmouth (L 4-0) and Longwood (L 6-1).
ABOUT VCU:Â The Rams are 11-6 overall and will take on Middle Tennessee State on Friday before traveling to D.C. VCU knocked off JMU, 6-1, on Wednesday and is already 1-0 in conference play with a 7-0 sweep of Richmond on Jan. 24.
SERIES HISTORY:Â GW is looking to extend a six-match winning streak against George Mason, which includes a 4-2 triumph last year. Conversely, the Colonials have dropped two straight against VCU.
