Men's Tennis Wins Two Flights at Navy Blue Invite

WASHINGTON - A pair of flight championships highlighted GW men's tennis' weekend at the Navy Blue Invite in Annapolis, Md.

Sophomore Ben Barnett came out on top in the White singles flight, defeating Navy's Finn Garner in three sets in the final. Classmate Ethan Jacobs also performed well in the flight, finishing in third after a 2-1 round robin and a walkover in the consolation bracket.

In the Red flight, sophomore Zicheng Zeng and Ryan Navarro both went 2-1 in round-robin play before falling in the consolation bracket to share third place.

GW claimed its second flight title in doubles play with Jacobs and Navarro rolling to a perfect 4-0 mark on the weekend with a 6-1 win over NJIT's Aidar Aidossov and Tin Dizdarevic in the championship.

The Colonials are right back in action starting this Thursday at the ITA Atlantic Regional, hosted by Virginia in Charlottesville, Va.
