ARLINGTON, Va - The George Washington baseball team won its fifth consecutive game and earned a series sweep over La Salle with an 8-2 win on Sunday afternoon at Tucker Field at Barcroft Park.

Key Stats
- GW pulled its season record above .500 at 12-11 overall and improved to 9-2 at The Tuck with Sunday's win.
- Senior Isaiah Pasteur homered twice to bump his team-leading total to six on the season. As of press time, Pasteur leads the Atlantic 10 in long balls. Pasteur has hit safely in the past 11 games and finished the day 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI and two home runs. His second homer was inside-the-park.
- GW totaled 12 hits on the day with five players posting multi-hit efforts.
- Senior Matt Cosentino doubled twice, scored one run and drove in a run.
- Freshman Colin Brophy finished 2-for-4 to extend his current reached-base streak to 11 consecutive games.
- Senior Robbie Metz went 2-for-4 with one run, one RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Sophomore Steven Barmakian rounded out GW's multi-hit efforts by going 2-for-4 with one double and one run.
- Junior Pat Knight earned the win after allowing a pair of runs on six hits over 5.1 innings with two walks and four strikeouts.
- Junior Will Kobos earned his second save of the weekend with 3.2 innings of scoreless relief. He allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out one.
Scoring - Bottom 1: Pasteur swung at the first pitch of the Colonials' first and blasted a leadoff home run over the wall in right-center field (GW 1, La Salle 0).
- Bottom 3: Pasteur led off with a walk and moved to third on a double by Barmakian. Metz followed with a bloop RBI single to right field (GW 2, La Salle 0).
- Bottom 3: With runners at the corners, Metz stole second to put two runners in scoring position for senior Mark Osis, who followed with a RBI groundout (GW 3, La Salle 0).
- Bottom 3: Sophomore Nate Fassnacht drove a two-out RBI double to the gap in right-center field to score Metz from third (GW 4, La Salle 0).
- Bottom 3: Cosentino's second double of the game was roped down the left-field line to score Fassnacht (GW 5, La Salle 0).
- Bottom 3: Junior Dominic D'Alessandro lined a RBI single back up the middle to score Fassnacht (GW 6, La Salle 0).
- Bottom 4: Brophy led off the inning with a double, moved to third on a wild pitch and then scored on a RBI groundout by Pasteur (GW 7, La Salle 0).
- Top 6: La Salle loaded the bases to open the inning and scored on a sacrifice fly. The next batter lifted a RBI double to right field (GW 7, La Salle 2).
- Bottom 6: Pasteur drove a ball to the gap in right-center field and off the wall, allowing him to round all three bases and slide into home with an inside-the-park home run (GW 8, La Salle 2).
