Georgetown (12-13) took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning by taking advantage of an error and a passed ball before adding a pair of runs in the second inning for a 3-0 lead.
After a scoreless third inning, the Hoyas struck again for two runs in the top of the fourth on an RBI single and sacrifice fly.
GW (7-17) got on the board in the bottom of the sixth inning when freshman Bobby Campbell hit a one-out double and scored on Xepoleas' base hit, making the score 5-1.
Georgetown added a run in the ninth on a wild pitch to extend the lead to 6-1 before Xepoleas hit a one-out triple to the gap in right-center field and later scored on a groundout by senior Colin Milon in the bottom half of the inning.
GW will visit No. 2 Virginia on Wednesday afternoon. First pitch from Davenport Field is scheduled for 5 p.m.
