WASHINGTON – With just two weeks left in the regular season, the George Washington baseball team is set to welcome Saint Joseph's to Tucker Field this weekend for the final home series of 2025. The three-game set will begin on Friday at 3:00 p.m. and extend into the weekend. Saturday will mark GW's Senior Day as the program honors its 12 graduating members prior to first pitch. Following the series with SJU, the Buff & Blue will make the short trip to Tysons, Va., to face Georgetown on Monday at 5:00 p.m. Live stats for all four games will be available at GWsports.com.
BUSY WEEKEND AT THE TUCK
GW's final home series of the season will be packed with much more than just the action on the field. Prior to Friday's series opener, the Revolutionaries will honor this year's recipient of the Warren Fulton Award, an annual tradition whose namesake honors the late member of the GW baseball program who tragically had his life taken in 1988. The award is presented to the current GW player who best exemplifies Warren's spirit, teamwork and sportsmanship during his time with the Buff & Blue. This year's ceremony is slated to begin at 2:45 p.m. on the field.
On Saturday, GW will not only honor its seniors but will also name the team's annual "I Got Your Back" Award winners and present the Team MVP Award as well. All of this will be conducted on the field, during a ceremony slated to begin at 12:25 p.m. The "I Got Your Back" and Team MVP Awards will be presented first, immediately followed by the senior day ceremony.
Sunday's home finale will be GW's final Bark in the Park game. All fans are encouraged to submit pictures of their furry friends using the link here for a chance to be featured on the videoboard during the game.
Patrons of Tucker Field will also get the opportunity to enjoy local food trucks at the game this weekend. The Blushing Berries food truck will be available on Friday, serving frozen drinks and ice cream. Saturday, the Kaziville food truck returns to The Tuck, offering customers a variety of flavorful options. Both will be stationed in the parking lot in front of the main entrance gate.
A-10 STANDINGS UPDATE
With six games left in the conference slate, GW sits squarely in the mix for the 2025 Atlantic 10 Baseball Championships, which will be held at Capital One Park in Tysons, Va., from May 20-24. The Revolutionaries currently sit in a tie for sixth with a 12-12 record thus far, equaling Dayton, which holds the same record currently. Fordham is just one game back but is on the outside looking in, with only the top seven teams advancing to the postseason. The Flyers and the Rams face off this weekend for a series that will go a long way in shaping the postseason outlook. Up-to-date A-10 standings can be found here.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS
Saint Joseph's enters the week with a 21-23 overall record and a 14-10 mark in the A-10 this season.
