Towson Beats Baseball in Midweek Meeting

Towson jumped on GW early with six runs in the game's first two innings. GW got on the scoreboard in the third when Greg Marmo tallied his first home run of the season, a solo shot to left center.
GW's second run came in the fifth inning, an RBI groundout off the bat of Sam Gates. Marmo scored on the play to account for both of the Revolutionaries' runs in the contest.
The game was ultimately called in the seventh inning, dropping GW to 8-8 overall, while the Tigers improved to 5-13. GW registered five hits in the game, with Gates and Marmo recording two apiece. Charlie Walsh notched the fifth for GW and finished 1-for-3 on the day.
The Buff & Blue return to action on Friday to Fordham for a three-game series opening Atlantic 10 action. First pitch for the series opener is set for 3:00 p.m.
