LAST TIME OUT
GW hit the road for a midweek matchup with Delaware on Tuesday and left with an 8-4 defeat at the hands of the Blue Hens. GW's offense was led by Bryan Belo, who picked up the team's lone multi-hit game with a solo home run and a single. Six other players got into the hit column for the Revolutionaries, including Conlon Walker, who tallied a pinch-hit RBI single, and Brett Young, who extended his on-base streak to 16 games with a single in the sixth. Young's on-base streak is tied for the second-longest on GW's squad this season and is the longest active streak. Sam Gates reached safely in 18 consecutive contests but had his string of games snapped last Saturday against Saint Louis. Ellis Schwartz and Robby Wacker both reached base in 16 consecutive games earlier in the year.
Graham Jeffries was one of six pitchers to see time during GW's game at Delaware. Jeffries tossed three innings and allowed three earned runs, falling to 4-2 on the season after the loss. Reese Crochet pitched a shutout fourth inning for GW, while Tyler Blankenship and Cade Davis combined efforts in the fifth. Blankenship pitched 0.2 innings in the frame, allowing three unearned runs, while Davis navigated the jam for the final out in the inning. Shugy Klein allowed one earned run for the Buff & Blue in the sixth, while Max Haug closed out the game with shutouts in the seventh and eighth.
