
GW Men's Tennis Falls to Miami

MIAMI, Fla. - The George Washington men's tennis squad fell to Miami, 6-1, in the first contest of an eight-match road swing at the Hurricanes' Neil Schiff Tennis Center on Friday.
The Colonials (4-6) dropped the doubles point to Miami (4-5) to open the match after the Hurricanes took matches at the Nos. 1 and 3 slots.
Junior Cahit Kapukiran battled in fourth-flight action, taking Henrique Tsukamoto to the only three-set match of the day before falling 7-5, 2-6, 10-7. Senior Francisco Dias tallied the point for GW, defeating Christian Langmo, 6-4, 7-6 (7-2), in the No. 2 slot for his sixth-straight singles victory.
The Buff and Blue will travel up to Tampa, Florida on Sunday to take on the 17th-ranked University of South Florida in a 1 p.m. matinee.
