
GW Men's Tennis Downed by No. 17 USF

TAMPA, Fla. - The George Washington men's tennis team fell to No. 17 University of South Florida, 6-1, on Sunday afternoon at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts.
The Colonials (4-8) fell at the Nos. 3 and 2 doubles positions to trail the Bulls (9-4) by one heading into the singles draw.
USF clinched the match after wins at the first, fifth and fourth singles positions. Senior Francisco Dias battled in second-flight action, taking his second set to a tiebreaker before succumbing to the Bulls' Sasha Gozun. Freshman Chris Fletcher notched GW's point with a three-set 6-4, 1-6, 10-6 triumph over Ignacio Gonzalez-Muniz at the No. 3 slot.
The Colonials continue their spring break road trip on Thursday to the University of Central Florida in Orlando before heading to Atlantic 10 rival Davidson on Friday.
