GW Baseball Falls At Tulane, 12-1

NEW ORLEANS, LA- The George Washington baseball team fell behind early on Saturday afternoon and were unable to get back into the game, falling to Tulane 12-1 at Turchin Stadium.
GW (2-4) had nine hits on the day, including a 3-for-4 effort from junior Ollie Mittag, but were unable to convert with runners on base, hitting 5-for-20 (.250) while stranding 13 base runners. Freshman Jordan Berry was 1-for-3 with a RBI while sophomore Justin Albright and senior Brendon Kelliher were both 1-for-4.
Senior Joe Richardson took the loss for the Colonials after allowing six earned runs in four innings of work while walking two and striking out one. Blake Crohan 3-for-4 with four RBI and Jeremy Schaffer and Garrett Cannizaro each knocked in two runs for the Green Wave.
Redshirt senior Bobby Lucas will take the ball in the series finale on Sunday afternoon against Randy Leblanc. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 pm EST. The Colonials will host Georgetown in their home opener at Barcroft Park in Arlington, VA on Wednesday at 2:30 pm.
