Men's Tennis Falls to Richmond, 6-1

WASHINGTON, DC - The Colonials men's tennis team lost a 6-1 match to Richmond Friday at GW's Mount Vernon Tennis Facility. With the loss, GW fell to 4-3 on the year while Richmond improved to 1-0 in the spring.
Sophomore Matt Hane (Walterboro, SC/Porter-Gaud School) defeated Richmond's Niki Doll at No. 1 singles that took two hours and two minutes to complete. Hane also teamed with freshman Jake Jopling (Wexford, PA/North Allegheny) to win at No. 1 doubles.
Sophomore Brett Warner (Vienna, VA/James Madison) lost to Richmond's Jeppy Moss at No. 6.
Next up for the Colonials is a Saturday, Feb. 9 match against the Virginia Cavaliers at the Mount Vernon Tennis Facility beginning at noon.
