SÍ SÍ, CECE
GW junior pitcher/utility Cece Smith was highly impactful again as a two-way star last weekend for the Revolutionaries. Smith started two games in the circle and allowed just nine hits and four earned runs in 13.0 IP, earning a win in the series finale vs. Saint Louis. Offensively, Smith swung for a 1.925 OPS, going 6-8 with three doubles, two walks, one RBI and two runs scored. The Atlanta native leads the Atlantic 10 to this point in OPS (1.492) and is third in the league in ERA (2.28).
ASH IS BACK
GW senior Ashley Corpuz has caught fire at the plate after a slow start to the year. After collecting four hits in her first 10 games, the 2025 A-10 All-Conference First Team outfielder has hits in each of the last seven, which includes four home runs and ten walks in that span. GW's most prolific power batter since All-American Jenna Cone has been avoided by opposing pitchers her whole career, and is now just three walks away from breaking Cone's program record (122 walks) for walks in a career.
