Entering the final month of the regular season, GW is playing some of its best basketball of the year. As winners of three-consecutive contests, the Revolutionaries have improved to 5-6 in the Atlantic 10 standings, sitting seventh, but just two wins behind fourth place. After starting the new year with a tough 1-6 stretch, the Buff & Blue have strung together wins over Fordham, Saint Louis and Dayton to right the ship and get back on track.
Over the course of those wins, GW has outscored opponents by 8.3 points per game and used late-game runs to snag crucial conference wins. Trailing late into the fourth quarter, GW used a 10-1 run in the final two minutes to top Saint Louis on Jan. 28. Later that week, the Buff & Blue stifled the Flyers over the final six minutes of action, using an extended 18-2 run to close out the win.
GROWTH MINDSET
Under Head Coach Ganiyat Adeduntan, the Revolutionaries are enjoying numerous statistical improvements compared to recent seasons. Sunday's win over Dayton equaled GW's overall (13) and conference (five) win totals from a season ago, still with seven games left to play. Along with that, GW's team shooting percentage of 41.9% is on pace to be the program's best in six years, while 4.1 blocks per game is the most the program has averaged in nine seasons. GW's scoring margin has also taken a leap, 5.7 points higher when compared to the 2024-25 campaign. The Buff & Blue are averaging the most assists per game in five years, while also turning the ball over the fewest times per game in three seasons. The Revolutionaries will look to translate this growth into more wins as the team heads towards March.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Davidson enters the weekend reeling, having lost three-consecutive contests and four of the last five. The Wildcats hold a 15-10 overall mark on the season, including a 7-5 record in A-10 action. Davidson is led by Gayle Fulks, who is in her ninth season at the helm of the program. Fulks has amassed a 138-125 overall record and led the program to a WBIT appearance in 2025.
Charlise Dunn has been one of the top overall players in the A-10 this season, averaging 15.3 ppg, which ranks sixth in the conference. Dunn is also third in rebounding, grabbing 8.3 boards per game, and ranks ninth in steals at 1.9 a night. Dunn began her career at Virginia Tech, playing one season with the Hokies before transferring to Davidson. Since then, she's tallied two A-10 All-Conference Second Team selections and was a preseason First-Teamer prior to this year.
Katie Donovan is second on the team in scoring, averaging 11.6 ppg. She leads the conference in three-point percentage, netting 46.8% of her attempts this season. Ines Garcia Monje leads the team in assists, averaging 2.6 a game. Davidson's full 2025-26 season stats can be found here.
