The George Washington women's basketball team has announced it will host crosstown foe Georgetown on Wednesday, Nov. 11th inside the Charles E. Smith Center. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m.
The matchup comes as a return from last year's contest that saw GW travel across the District to McDonough Arena. The two programs have met 39 times over the past 50 years, with the Buff & Blue holding a slim 20-19 lead in the all-time series. GW's most recent win over the Hoyas came in 2020, a narrow 52-49 victory inside the Smith Center.
The game announcement is GW's fourth for the 2026-27 season, joining a preseason exhibition against Towson on Oct. 18th, along with road games at West Virginia (Nov. 5) and Northwestern (Dec. 18). The Buff & Blue's complete nonconference slate is expected to be unveiled in the coming days.
The Buff & Blue return five players from last year's squad, including Gabby Reynolds, who enters the year as one of the A-10's premier players. The junior guard was an All-Conference Third Team selection a year ago and finished ninth in the league in scoring at 14.6 ppg. Sara Lewis, Kamari Sims, Tanah Becker and Jaeda Wilson all return for GW as well.
GW's roster also consists of eight newcomers, including five transfers and three first-years. The transfer group brings a combined 293 games of collegiate experience to GW and has scored 1,985 career points.
2026-27 season tickets for GW women's basketball are on sale now, starting as low as $70. The Revolutionaries are coming off the deepest WNIT run in program history and tallied the most postseason wins in a single year in 29 seasons.
