BACK IN THE W COLUMN
Saturday's 58-47 win over Fordham snapped a short two-game skid, moving GW back to an even .500 with an 11-11 record on the year. The result was symbolic of a few trends for the Revolutionaries this season, specifically on the defensive end. The Buff & Blue are now 7-0 this year when holding opponents under 50 points and 9-3 when keeping the opposition under 60. On the flip side, GW is 0-5 when allowing 70+ points. GW also benefits from fast starts, holding a 10-2 record in games where it holds a lead at the halftime break. Conversely, the Revolutionaries are 1-8 when trailing at halftime and 0-1 when tied at the break.
LOVING EARNS FIRST CAREER START
In the absence of Sara Lewis on Saturday, senior Caia Loving earned her first career start for the Buff & Blue. Loving is one of four true seniors on the roster for GW this season, but one of only two (Natalia Sierra-Vargas) who have spent their entire careers in Foggy Bottom. Loving has appeared in 70 career games, posting 147 points and 176 total rebounds. She shoots the ball at a career 48.7% clip from the floor, including a career-best 75.9% this season.
THEODORSSON NEARS REBOUNDING MILESTONE
Another true senior on the roster, Emma Theodorsson, is nearing a milestone number in the career rebounding category. The Bucknell and Loyola Chicago transfer eclipsed the 1,000 career point total earlier this season and now sits 22 boards shy of 500 across her four years of collegiate hoops. Theodorsson averages 4.4 rebounds per game over her 108 career appearances, grabbing a personal-best 171 during her sophomore season in 2023-24 at Bucknell. She's tallied 71 since joining GW prior to the 2025-26 season, averaging 3.4 per contest. At her current pace, Theodorsson will eclipse 500 on Feb. 21 in GW's game at George Mason.
SCOUTING THE BILLIKENS
Saint Louis enters Wednesday's matchup with an identical 11-11 record as GW but holds a 5-4 mark in Atlantic 10 action with wins over St. Bonaventure, Duquesne, La Salle, Dayton and Fordham. The Billikens fell to Loyola Chicago, 74-59, in their most recent contest, with the Ramblers using a big 25-11 advantage in the second quarter to cruise to victory. Rebecca Tillitt is in her fourth year at the helm of the program, holding a 65-66 record at SLU and a 116-134 career record in eight years as a head coach. Tillett led Saint Louis to its first A-10 Championship tournament title in her first season and guided the program to a WNIT title in 2024 in her second year.
SLU offers a balanced offensive attack, with four players averaging double figures. Alexia Nelson leads the way, putting in 13.5 ppg, while Zya Nugent is just behind with 13.2 ppg and 6.8 rebounds a night. The Billikens are second in the conference in total offense, averaging 69.0 ppg, second only to Richmond (74.4 ppg). Saint Louis' full 2025-26 season stats can be found here.
