WASHINGTON – Andrew Cutler and Charlie Walsh have been honored by the Atlantic 10, earning their first end-of-season baseball awards. Cutler was named to the All-Conference Second Team as a starting pitcher, while Walsh was honored as an All-Rookie Team member for his standout first-year season.
Cutler, who began the season as an anchor in GW's bullpen, stepped into a starting role later in the season and was equally as dominant. Across the entire 2025 campaign, he tossed 49.1 total innings, making 13 relief appearances and four starts. Cutler finished a perfect 6-0 on the mound and tallied five saves, both of which led the Revolutionaries in 2025. His win total was good enough for seventh-most in the conference, while he ranked second in the A-10 in saves. Cutler recorded 46 strikeouts on the year and held opposing hitters to a .286 average. His best statistical start came on April 25 at UMass when he tossed 5.2 innings and struck out seven batters in the GW win. He had eight appearances this year without giving up a run, six of which were outings with at least two innings pitched.
Walsh stepped into a middle infield role for GW right away, starting in 48 games primarily at shortstop. The first-year made his mark on the defensive side of the ball, finishing with 125 assists in the field, which ranked fifth in the conference. He also notched 91 putouts and recorded just five errors in 221 chances, equating to a .977 fielding percentage. On offense, Walsh batted .256 in 176 at-bats with 45 hits. He drove in 25 RBI, notched nine doubles and scored 32 runs for the Buff & Blue. He also stole eight bags on the year and finished with a .350 on-base percentage. Walsh recorded 12 multi-hit games this season, including seven in Atlantic 10 matchups.
