WASHINGTON – The George Washington women's basketball team enters the second half of Atlantic 10 play on Saturday, welcoming Saint Joseph's to the Charles E. Smith Center. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m. with live coverage available on the Monumental Sports Network and ESPN+.
ENTERING THE HOME STRETCH
With nine games left on the regular season calendar, GW will look to take advantage of every opportunity to play at home in hopes of bolstering the team's seeding ahead of the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship. Including Saturday's game against SJU, GW has just five home games remaining this season. Following the clash with the Hawks, the Buff & Blue welcome Fordham (Feb. 4), Dayton (Feb. 15) and Davidson (Feb. 23) then conclude the home slate with Massachusetts (Feb. 26).
A LOOK AHEAD
While it's not the last home game of the regular season, GW's matchup with Davidson on Feb. 23 will serve as the program's Senior Day. Maxine Engel, Paige Mott, Makayla Andrews and Mariona Planes Fortuny will all be honored for their contributions to the women's basketball program and celebrated for their academic success. On Feb. 26 against UMass, GW will host local schools for the team's annual School Day. A special tip time of 12:00 p.m. is scheduled for that Wednesday contest against the Minutewomen. Don't miss any of the action this season by grabbing single-game tickets to remaining home games here.
ENGEL FINDING THE RANGE
Over GW's past five games, Engel has found the touch, knocking down 13 triples in that span on 50% shooting from beyond the arc. She's leading the team in scoring over those games, averaging 11.0 points in 31.2 minutes.
