Golf Opens Season at Howard/USF Intercollegiate

WASHINGTON -Â GW golf begins its 2024-25 campaign on Monday and Tuesday with the Howard/USF Intercollegiate in Rockville, Md. The event will open with 36 holes on Monday morning beginning at 8 a.m. followed by the final 18 on Tuesday.

LOOKING BACK AT LAST YEAR
GW is coming off a second-place finish at the spring's Atlantic 10 Championship, the highest finish for the program since 2012. The Buff & Blue return their top two finishers from the conference championship in juniors Manuel Barbachano (t-5 at A-10s) and Rodrigo Barahona (t-7). Senior Luke Lyu, junior Leo Xo and sophomore Aksel Moe are also back from last year's team.

The GW Revs welcomed in three newcomers to this year's team - transfers Philippe Thorin (North Texas) and Benjamin Garcia Moreira (Swarthmore) and first-year Adam Bencik. All three are slated to make an immediate impact on this year's team and have earned one of the coveted five starting spots in the opening event.
