Golf Slides to Sixth Through 36 Holes at A-10 Championship

ORLANDO, Fla. -Â Despite shooting a combined six shots lower than its opening-round score, GW golf dropped two spots and sits in sixth after two days of the Atlantic 10 Championship at the Evermore Resort.
The Revolutionaries carded a 1-over 289 on Tuesday, combined with Monday's 7-over 295 to post an 8-over 584 through 36 holes, 11 shots back of first-place George Mason (-3, 573) with 18 holes remaining.Â
Manuel Barbachano and Maxime Lam both sit within striking distance of the individual title, currently in a tie for third with dueling scores of 3-under 141. Barbachano, who is tied for the tournament lead with 11 birdies, shot the low round of the day for the Buff & Blue with a 2-under 70 that featured five more circles on the scorecard.
Lam bounced back from three-straight bogeys on the front nine to birdie four of five holes on the backside to post a 1-under 71. Both are four shots back of Richmond's Lucas Rizo-Patron for the individual championship.
Tuesday also featured a 73 from Adam Bencik (+8, 152 overall), 75 from Evan Eichenlaub (+10, 154) and a 78 from Philippe Thorin (+9, 153).
GW will tee off in the final round on Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. alongside fourth-place Dayton and fifth-place Rhode Island.
