Four Golfers Named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars

NORMAN, Okla. – The 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars for NCAA Division I have been announced by the GCAA, including GW's own Manuel Barbachano, Evan Eichenlaub, Benji Garcia Moreira and Philippe Thorin.
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically, participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
Barbachano graduated in May with a degree in Marketing while holding a 3.33 cumulative GPA and leading the Buff & Blue with a 72.5 scoring average.
In his first year at GW, Eichenlaub holds a 3.26 GPA while pursuing a degree in business. On the course, he posted a 73.9 scoring average.
Garcia Moreira earns the first distinction of his career thanks to a 3.70 GPA in economics and a 75.7 scoring average.Â
Thorin also gets his first not following a 75.3 scoring average this past season and holding a 3.30 GPA in business.
