Golf Finishes Fifth at A-10 Championship

ORLANDO, Fla. -Â GW golf posted its best round of the tournament on Wednesday afternoon, finishing the Atlantic 10 Championship in fifth place with a 3-over 867.
The final total of 867 is the fewest strokes for the Revolutionaries at the A-10 Championship since 2022 and marks the program's fourth top-five finish in the last five seasons.
The Buff & Blue improved their score each day of the championship, culminating in a 5-under 283 on Wednesday. Three Revolutionaries shot under par on the final 18, led by Adam Bencik, who carded a 3-under 69 to finish the championship in a tie for 24th with a total score of 5-over 221.
Maxime Lam made it three under-par rounds in as many days with a 2-under 70 and was GW's top individual finisher, tying for fourth with a 5-under 211. Thanks to an eagle on the par-5 13th, Philippe Thorin also finished in red figures with a 1-under 71 to finish tied for 33rd overall with an 8-over 224.
Manuel Barbachano posted another top-10 individually to finish his senior season, tying for 8th at 2-under 214 following a final day 73. Evan Eichenlaub rounded out the Buff & Blue with a 73 as well Wednesday, finishing in a tie for 43rd overall at 11-over 227.
Richmond won the team championship by 10 strokes over George Mason, posting a 15-under 273 on Wednesday to erase what was a four-shot deficit entering the day. The Spiders' Lucas Rizo-Patron ran away with the individual title with a 13-under 203, four shots clear of second place.
