ROCKVILLE, Md. - GW golf opened its 2024-25 campaign on Monday and Tuesday with a fourth-place showing at the Howard/USF Intercollegiate, hosted by Manor Country Club.

The Buff & Blue finished the event with a 13-over 853, tied for the fifth-lowest total score in program history. The highlight came in Monday afternoon's second round when GW carded an even-par 280 thanks to a 4-under 66 from Rodrigo Barahona and a 1-under 69 from Benjamin Garcia Moreira. Princeton won the event with a 12-under 828 with Loyola Maryland (+3) and Georgetown (+11) ranking second and third, respectively.

Barahona led the Buff & Blue individually with a 4-under 206, which ties for the fifth-best individual performance in program history. The Mexico native sandwiched a pair of even-par 70s around his 66 in Monday's second round to finish in a tie for second individually.

Manuel Barbachano opened his junior campaign with a 6-over 216 to finish in a tie for 20th, while newcomers rounded out the lineup with Adam Bencik (+7, 217), Phillipe Thorin (+11, 221) and Garcia Moreira (+21, 231) making their Buff & Blue debuts.
