Golf Places Seventh at The Goat

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - GW golf returned to the site of its last team stroke play victory in 2018 at the Naval Academy Golf Club and came away with a seventh-place finish at The Goat on Saturday and Sunday.
GW registered a 30-over 882 to finish just a stroke behind host Navy and three shots off the place of Maryland. Pacific won the event with a 1-under 851.
Manuel Barbachano paced the Revolutionaries with an even-par 213, tying for fifth overall. Barbachano shot a 3-under in Saturday's second round and was briefly tied for the lead in Sunday's final round before securing the top-10 finish.
Rodrigo Barahona opened the tournament with a 1-under 70 and ultimately notched his second-straight top-20 finish to begin the season with a 5-over 218. Adam Bencik (+12, 225), Benjamin Garcia Moreira (+16, 229) and Philippe Thorin (+18, 231) rounded out the GW team.
