WASHINGTON – Head coach Gregg Ritchie and the George Washington baseball program are excited to unveil the team's 2025 season schedule. The Revolutionaries will play 56 games this season with 30 of them taking place within the friendly confines of Barcroft Park. The schedule includes 26 non-conference matchups and 30 Atlantic 10 contests.
GW opens the 2025 season on the west coast, visiting the University of Southern California for a three-game weekend series from Feb. 14-16. First pitch on opening day is slated for 9:30 p.m. ET with games on Saturday (5:00 p.m.) and Sunday (3:00 p.m.) to follow.
After returning from California, the Buff & Blue make a quick trip down to Charlottesville to battle UVA on Feb. 19. First pitch against the Cavaliers is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
The Revolutionaries' home opener will come the following weekend as the Buff & Blue welcome Holy Cross to Arlington from Feb. 21-23. This kicks off an eight-game homestand, the longest of the season, that extends until March 4 and sees Georgetown (Feb. 25), Maine (Feb. 28 – March 2) and UMBC (March 4) all make trips to Tucker Field.
The 2025 Atlantic 10 slate begins on Friday, March 14, as GW hosts Fordham for a three-game set from March 14-16. The series against the Rams, along with all A-10 home series, will have start times of 3:00 p.m. on Friday, 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and noon on Sunday.
Along with Fordham, GW will also welcome local rival George Mason (March 28-30), reigning Atlantic 10 champion VCU (April 4-6), Richmond (April 18-20) and Saint Joseph's (May 9-11). This season, the Buff & Blue will make trips to conference foes Rhode Island (March 21-23), Dayton (April 11-13), Massachusetts (April 25-27), Davidson (May 2-4) and Saint Louis (May 15-17).
The 2025 season marks the final year for the Minutemen in the Atlantic 10 as they prepare to depart for the Mid-American Conference. However, the conference will remain at 12 teams in the baseball standings as La Salle is set to return to action in 2026.
The 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship will remain in the DMV for another year, returning to Capital One Park in Tysons, Va. The Revolutionaries advanced to last year's postseason for the first time since 2018, knocking off Dayton in postseason play before falling to Saint Joseph's in the consolation semifinals.
Tickets for the 2025 season will be available in the coming weeks. Follow GWsports.com for the latest info on the upcoming year as well as the 2025 broadcast schedule.
