ABOUT THE OPPONENTS
No. 2 (T) Fordham enters play on Saturday at 21-0, which includes a 7-0 mark in the MAWPC. Fordham has risen steadily in the national rankings this season and is now tied for the second seed in CWPA with Stanford and USC. The Rams have just returned from a West Coast trip, where notably they defeated No. 4 Pacific (17-13) to continue their perfect season. GW matches up against Fordham for the second time this year after being defeated by the Rams, 20-9, in the Bronx earlier this season.Â
Wagner comes into Saturday's match at 11-13 and 3-3 in the MAWPC. The Seahawks most recently played to a 3-1 record at the Harvard Invitational, where they defeated UC Merced (10-7), Mercyhurst (18-12) and Chapman (12-10), before falling to the host Harvard (21-11). Wagner will be playing its second match of the day on Saturday as it will be traveling from Baltimore after a battle against Johns Hopkins. GW narrowly defeated Wagner in the programs' first meeting this season, 13-12, in a game that saw a spread offensive effort from GW with multiple goals from Adonis Vlassis (3), Yam Kabakov (2), Antonio Florena (2), Sekulic (2) and Joseph McCreary (2).Â
