Anthony Frechette Inks Pro Deal with Idaho Falls

WASHINGTONÂ - GWÂ baseball alum Anthony Frechette has signed his first professional contract with the Idaho Falls Chukars of the Pioneer League, it was announced this week. Frechette joins teammate Michael Kohn in Idaho Falls after Kohn was signed last week.
Frechette was a rock for the Buff & Blue in his five years, starting 187 games behind the dish and appearing in 196 games overall. He finished his career among the program's all-time top 25 in career at-bats and walks.
The West Chester, Pa., native started 51 of 55 games this past season for GW, hitting .281 with 12 doubles and a career-high five home runs and 26 RBI. Behind the plate, Frechette caught 17 baserunners, throwing out 21.5% of would-be base stealers on the season.
