Buff & Blue look for revenge against Dukes
WASHINGTON - GW baseball will look to earn a season split with James Madison when the Dukes come calling to Tucker Field at Barcroft Park on Tuesday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. with live coverage on ESPN+.
SWEEP WEEKEND: The Colonials earned their first sweep of the season over the weekend, claiming all three games vs. Manhattan by a combined score of 21-9. Steve DiTomaso capped the weekend off with a walk-off single, GW's second such victory at The Tuck this year. Earlier on Sunday, the Buff & Blue set a season high with 16 runs scored, racking up 16 hits as part of a 10-run victory.
REUNITING WITH THE DUKES: GW and JMU met back on February 28 in Harrisonburg with the Dukes pulling off a come-from-behind, 10-8 victory in a back-and-forth contest. The two programs had previously not met since 2016.
The Dukes are 13-9 on the season overall and 2-2 in Sun Belt play after a rain-shortened weekend at Arkansas State. Kyle Novak paces JMU with a .407 batting average while Fenwick Trimble has blasted eight homers with 35 RBI.
