In the final period, UMES once again used a quick run to grab the lead. The Hawks rattled off seven straight points to capture a 49-46 advantage. Trailing 55-50 with just under five minutes remaining, GW used a layup from grad student Taylor Webster and a clutch three from first-year Monica Marsh to tie the contest at 55 apiece. Marsh would come up clutch again, sinking another triple a few possessions later to tie the score once again, this time at 58-58.
