Lynchburg, VA - A team of Gabriela Giraldo, Madison Lee, Alejandra Ramirez, Victoria Sasinka, Solange Skeene and Stella Wiesemann competed at the ITA Atlantic Regional at Liberty this weekend, and comes home with this upcoming weekend off and its sights set on the Liberty Invitational at the same site in two weekends' time.
Sasinka was a winner in her first match, 6-0, 6-1 before falling to Ela Platenikova, 6-2, 6-4.
In other matches, Madison Lee fell, 7-6(3), 3-0 to open her stay. Gabriela Giraldo fell, 6-4, 6-3 in singles, and in the main draw Stella Wiesemann advanced, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 against Melodie Collard, before falling 6-1, 6-4 to Katie Andreini.
In doubles action, Sasinka and Wiesemann fell 8-3, and Skeene and Ramirez fell 8-4 to knock them out of title contention. Giraldo and Lee were also entered into doubles play and advanced 8-4, before falling by the same score in the round of 32.
