Tennis Lands Three on CSC Academic All-District Team

Madison Lee, Victoria Sasinka and Solange Skeene have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women's Tennis Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Selected by College Sports Communicators, the award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances both on the court and in the classroom. In order to be eligible, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.50 GPA, be at least a sophomore academically and meet high athletic standards as well.

Lee achieved athletic excellence while also maintaining perfection in the classroom. The Public Health major sports a 4.0 GPA and was selected as one of six members for the Atlantic 10's All-Academic Team. Lee finished her breakout junior season with an 11-9 record in singles play, including an 11-5 mark at No. 3 for GW this year. She finished 3-2 in A-10 matches while also picking up a 6-2, 6-1 win in the opening round of the A-10 Championship against St. Bonaventure. Lee was equally as impressive in doubles, teaming up with Karen Verduzco for a 13-7 mark on the season. The duo won two A-10 doubles matches on the year and finished with a 6-3 postseason win over the Bonnies. Along with her selection to the A-10 All-Academic Team, Lee was also honored as an All-Conference Second Team member, the first conference honor of her career.

Holding a 3.78 GPA as a Neuroscience major, Sasinka finished the 2026 season with six singles wins, five of which came at No. 2 and one at No. 3. In doubles, Sasinka paired up with Skeene for a 10-8 record on the season, with all matches played at No. 2. The duo went 3-1 in A-10 matches, tallying wins over Saint Joseph's, George Mason and Rhode Island. The pair also tallied a 6-3 win in the second round of the A-10 Championships against Davidson.

Skeene finishes her third academic year with a 3.54 GPA as an International Affairs major. Skeene was GW's No. 1 at singles all season, finishing her junior campaign with a 9-8 record. Skeene was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team, the first conference honor of her career. Her pairing with Sasinka in doubles action made Skeene a part of 19 wins in 2026.
