WASHINGTON - George Washington baseball head coach Gregg Ritchie announced the addition of Bryan Liriano-Hernandez to the team's staff as a volunteer assistant.
"Bryan is a fantastic addition to our highly talented coaching staff. He will deliver elite energy and grind that will be a driving force in our team's success," Ritchie said. "Bryan brings a myriad of skills that will greatly aid in the development of our student-athletes both on and off the field. He has an exceptional baseball mind and is a person that is fully invested."
Liriano-Hernandez joins the Buff & Blue having previously served as the director of baseball operations for Presbyterian College. While with the Blue Hose, Liriano-Hernandez helped coordinate team activities and assisted in the team's scouting process.
"Thank you to Coach Ritchie and his staff for the opportunity to join this amazing program as a volunteer assistant coach. Growing up in Hyattsville, Md., I have always admired GW's first-class facilities and beautiful campus, and I'm thrilled to now have the chance to call the university home," said Liriano-Hernandez. "This coaching staff grinds every day and brings incredible energy to the game, and I'm blessed to have the opportunity to learn and grow here in Foggy Bottom. Go Buff & Blue!"
A graduate of Newberry College, Liriano-Hernandez also has previous coaching experience with the Michigan Monarchs of the Great Lakes Collegiate League and Florida Southwestern State College.
