A Message from GW Men's Tennis Head Coach Rob Castille

GW Men's Tennis friends, family, and alumni,
We are all dealing with challenging and unprecedented times right now. The decision to cancel all remaining sporting events for the rest of the academic year means our season comes to an abrupt end. As a coach, I am extremely saddened for my players, especially our two seniors, as I know the amount of work they have all put into this season, both on the court and in the gym. However, the safety and well-being of our student-athletes and our entire GW family and community is the top priority. We are lucky to have such strong leadership from the university and athletic department and we are grateful for the care and support they have shown.
In dealing with adversity, I always preach that we need to focus and worry about the things within our control. What is in our control is how we react to this current situation. We can choose to be angry and upset or we can choose to use this as motivation for next year. I am confident that the young men on this team will respond in a positive way and we will come back better players and people than before.
I want to thank everyone that has supported our program this year. We have a lot to be excited about for the future and we can't wait to get back on the courts representing the Buff and Blue. Stay healthy, safe, and as always, Raise High!!
