Men's Tennis Set for Weekend Matches

WASHINGTON - The George Washington men's tennis team returns to action with a pair of weekend matches at the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia. The Colonials will first take on Navy on Saturday before facing off with St. John's on Sunday.
The Colonials (7-4) have won their last two matches, most recently defeating Temple on Feb. 22, 4-2.
Senior Julius Tverijonas carries a No. 118 ITA singles ranking into the weekend and owns a 4-4 solo record at the top spot. Junior Chris Fletcher is having a stellar season, leading the Colonials with an 8-1 singles mark playing at the Nos. 2-3 positions.
Navy (10-8) has fallen in six of its last seven matches, most recently dropping both ends of a doubleheader against Penn and Villanova. The Colonials and Midshipmen last met in dual match play in 2014, when GW claimed a 6-1 triumph in Annapolis.
St. John's (7-8) will visit VCU on Thursday and Old Dominion on Saturday before facing the Colonials on Sunday. The Red Storm's Robert Livi is ranked No. 123 in singles.
