Men's Tennis Downed at FAU

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The George Washington men's tennis team fell at Florida Atlantic, 4-1, to begin a busy spring break week of competition on Tuesday morning.
Senior Julius Tverijonas claimed victory at the top solo spot, but the Colonials (9-5) were unable to overcome a tough FAU squad.
FAU took an early, 1-0, lead after claiming the doubles point with wins at the Nos. 2-3 positions.
The hosts then took Nos. 2 and 3 singles, but Tverijonas staved off the clinch with his straight-set triumph at No. 1.
FAU ultimately claimed the match, 4-1, with a three-set win at No. 4.
The Colonials will continue a stretch of four matches in three days on Wednesday with doubleheader action against UConn and No. 38 South Alabama.
