
Men's Tennis Falls at William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The George Washington men's tennis team fell at William & Mary on Friday afternoon, 5-2, to begin a pair of road matches this weekend.
The Colonials (5-4) took an early lead but were overtaken in singles action.
The pair of senior Julius Tverijonas and Chris Fletcher took a 6-2 win at the top doubles spot and freshman Jakub Behun teamed up with junior Chris Reynolds to clinch the doubles point with a 6-3 win at No. 3.
The Tribe evened the score with a straight-set win at No. 6 singles and took the lead with a win in second-flight play. William & Mary came within one of clinching the match after coming out on top in a three-set battle at the No. 1 spot. The Tribe solidified the match after claiming the No. 5 match, again in three sets.
Fletcher tallied a singles win for the Colonials at No. 3, winning a pair of tiebreakers for a two-set triumph.
The Colonials will take on DePaul at William & Mary's McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center on Saturday at 4 p.m.
