GW Men's Tennis Set For UVA Fall Classic

UVA Fall Classic Complete Draws
WASHINGTON - A quartet of George Washington men's tennis freshmen head to Charlottesville, Virginia, this weekend for the three-day UVA Fall Classic, held Friday, Oct. 3 through Sunday, Oct. 5 at the Cavaliers' Snyder Tennis Center.
Rookies Chris Fletcher, Christos Hadjigeorgiou, Darian Hashemzadeh and Jabari Stafford will compete at the 13th edition of the tournament, which consists of six 16-player singles draws and six eight-team doubles draws.
Action begins on Friday with two rounds of doubles followed by one round of singles. Saturday will begin with the final round of doubles, followed by two rounds of singles, and the final round of singles will be played on Sunday.
The Colonials will be joined by players from 17 schools in Bucknell, The Citadel, Cornell, Davidson, East Tennessee State, George Mason, James Madison, Liberty, Norfolk State, Old Dominion, Princeton, Radford, UMBC, VCU, host Virginia, Virginia Tech and William & Mary.
Additionally, senior Francisco Dias has earned a Lucky Loser spot in the main singles consolation draw of the 2014 ITA All-American Championships and will face No. 13 Mackenzie McDonald of UCLA on Friday at 11 a.m CT (12 p.m. ET). The winner of the draw will receive an automatic bid to the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships Nov. 6-9 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.
