Men's Tennis Defeats James Madison, 5-2

WASHINGTON- GW men's tennis collected a second win of the day on Friday afternoon, defeating James Madison, 5-1, at the Mount Vernon Tennis Center.
"I am really proud of our players," said head coach Greg Munoz. "The team showed incredible focus, toughing out three doubles matches against three solid James Madison doubles teams."
At No. 1 doubles match, Chris Kushma and Erik Hannah defeated formally nationally ranked JMU duo of Mike Smith and Matt King 8-6, as the Colonials went on to win the doubles point.
Ugur Atalay dropped a tough No. 1 singles match to Smith after losing the first set 7-6(4), couldn't recover in the second, falling 6-2.
Hannah, Kushma and Yan Levinski went on to win their singles matches in straight sets while Richard Blumenfeld won in three.
GW wraps up the regular season at home on Sunday, taking on Longwood at 10 a.m.
