Men's Tennis Drops Road Match to Penn, 5-2

PHILADELPHIA- George Washington men's tennis team fell to 2-7 on the season Wednesday when they fell 5-2 to Penn.
No. 2 doubles pair Chris Kushma and Arya Vayghan defeated Jason Magnes and Mark Milbrant 8-0, but the Quakers secured the doubles point winning the other two matches.
Kushma and Vayghan were able to carry the victory into singles action. Kushma won a close first set 7-6 over Jason Lin, and then shut the door on Lin in the second match, winning 6-3.
Vayghan dropped his first set to Milibrandt, 3-6, but was able to power back to win the second set, 6-0, and the third, 6-4.
The Colonials face Atlantic 10 opponent Temple on Thursday before returning to the Mount Vernon Tennis Facility to host Saint John's at 10 a.m. and Richmond at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 21.
