
Men's Tennis Falls to Binghamton, 7-0

ITHACA, NY -- GW men's tennis fell to a tough Binghamton team, including Northeast Regional Champion Sven Vlodegraven, 7-0, on Saturday at the Reis Tennis Center.
In all three doubles matches, the Colonials just came up a bit short in each match. At No.1 and No. 2 doubles, both teams lost in matches decided by one break of a serve at 8-6.
In singles play, Richard Blumenfeld battled at No. 5 singles in a hard fought 3 set singles defeat, eventually falling 6-4 in the third set. Chris Kushma, at No. 2 singles, also fell in a third set super tiebreaker, 7-5, 5-7 (10-5).
"Overall, I am happy with the team's improvement," said head coach and Binghamton alum, Greg Munoz. "I was well aware of the fact that this triple-header weekend would be a tough road swing for the team."
GW men's tennis concludes it road trip playing the nationally ranked No. 56 Columbia on Sunday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m.
