Kushma, Hannah & Atalay Advance at ITA Regional

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - Senior Christopher Kushma, as well as doubles partners Ugur Atalay and Erik Hannah, advanced in the ITA Atlantic Regional at University of Virginia's Synder Tennis Center after three days of competition.
Kushma defeated his Radford opponent, Thomas Dehaen, 6-4, 6-2, and Virginia Tech's Leonardo Lapentti, 6-2, 6-1. Kushma will face Eddie Bouchier from Penn State in the Round-of-16 on Friday.
Hannah won a tough three-set match over Bertrand Moulin of JMU, 6-4, 4-6, 7-6(7), before falling to UVa's Jaremere Jenkins in three sets, 6-7(2) 6-2, 6-1.
Alexander van Gils also won his first match on Thursday over Radford's Stijn Meulmans, 7-5, 5-7, 6-2, to advance to a second match during the day. Van Gils fell to Stephen Rooda of Virginia 7-5, 7-5, in his Round-of-32 singles match.
In doubles action at the ITA Regionals, Atalay and Hannah defeated UVa's Reese Milner and Dino Dell'Orto, 8-6, to advance to face Old Dominion's Benjamin Chomette and Fahoum Fahoum on Friday.
