
Colonials Can't Handle Dukes Attack, Fall 13-6

PITTSBURGH, PA - The George Washington University Baseball team dropped the middle game of their series against Duquesne on Saturday by a final score of 13-6. Freshman Michael Boyden got the start the Colonials and allowed five earned runs in 1 2/3 innings.
Sophomore Brendon Kelliher led the offense with a 3-5 performance and drove three runs.
The Colonials fell behind early, giving up multiple runs in the first four innings to trail 9-2 after four innings. Junior Tom Zebroski also had two hits in the leadoff spot and junior designated hitter Curtis Eward collected two RBIs in defeat.
The Colonials will return to the field on Sunday to wrap up their series against Duquesne, with the game scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. Senior Pat Lehman is the scheduled starter for the Colonials, who look to take two of three from the Dukes on the road.
